Email notification

Can anyone help me, I have my exchange email on my iPhone 4 and don't see alot of emails till a lot later on. I went from a Blackberry Bold 2 and this gave a loud audioable alert to emails.
Is there anyway of changing the alerts to be alot louder, and possibly show on screen notification similar to getting a SMS.

Not without using a third party app. I use boxcar, it pushes your emails through and gives a variety of notifications to choose from, not sure if it works with exchange accounts though.

I use pushmail. It's $2.99 but has been excellent so far.
