Hi.
Are there any 3rd party email apps for the Apple Watch that allow you to get gmail on your watch when the watch is away from your iPhone?

Shouldn't your watch get email even on the opposite side of the earth away from you phone if the watch is connected to wifi?

Unfortunately I can’t get gmail on my watch with the built in email app if my watch is away from my phone.

One work around is to have all or specific sender gmail forwarded to icloud email.

I tested it and it works well. I will leave my setting like this.
Thank you.

Yeah. I use Fastmail and I don’t get that email on my watch if my iPhone is off. I do get iCloud email though. I also forward all my mail to iCloud.

I sent this reply on the other thread that pertains to this issue:

Update: I think it is working now. Or at least it did today. I did 2 things that may have helped. (of course I don't know which one was the one that helped)
1. I changed my mail setting to Push. This was for the main mail setting above all my accounts. It still says fetch next to gmail but the only other option is manual.
2. I sent an email from my watch while not connected to my phone and it sent correctly even though I could not retrieve mail at that time.

GMail can’t do PUSH using the stock mail app. As long as your watch has access to the internet via WiFi or Cellular, it will receive and send email so long as your phone is not turned off.

Then it must have been sending an email that changed something. Or just coincidence.
