I've had this issue for a few years now and never been able to get to the bottom of it.
On my Macbook Pro I have a Hotmail account added to mail. Once or twice a week that account will say it can no longer connect and ask for a password. After entering said password it works fine.
Is there a way I can stop this happening? I have the exact same account/email address/password on my iPhone that never needs the password beyond initial setup.
