Email problems on iPad

I've searched for this with no luck so hopefully someone can offer insight. I have a MBP, iPod Touch 4th gen, and iPad. My mail is set up identically on each unit. However, when sending email from the iPad, it takes 30 minutes to receive it. This has been frustrating me from day one and despite clearing the settings and setting up again I continue to have this mystery problem.

Any insight would be appreciated.
