Once in a while I get a message saying that my email cannot be sent because of the server. I have an Earthlink account, and use Mail on my laptop. I have deleted the account, and started over which I did not realize would wipe out my emails that were listed, oh well. I still cannot send or receive emails. I can however go into webmail through the earthlink site and read them, but I would like to use my Mail program.
How do I fix this?? and why do I keep getting this message once in a while?

Please help me to fix this.
 
I get this sometimes with my Earthlink POP3 account. It doesn't happen with Gmail POP3 or any of my IMAP accounts, so I've decided it's probably a problem with Earthlink, and not something on my end.
