Email programme support Hotmail folders?

I've tried Outlook 2011 and Apple Mail, both of them do not support sync folders from my Hotmail account.

Can somebody please suggest an email client programme on Mac that can pull folders from Hotmail?

Is hotmail even IMAP? Or is it POP only? I would highly suggest just moving to another email service. My wife has had here hotmail hacked at least 10-15 times and she is very careful with her passwords and such. It is up to you what you use, but Hotmail is getting pretty long in the tooth.

Hotmail is POP3, but folder sync (DeltaSnc) is supported on Windows and mobile side. I'm beginning to think routing hotmail through gmail is the only simple solution, or use Outlook Windows version in a virtual environment all the time.

r u willing to pay a bit of money for this functionality?

I use mBox mail with my mail app and I haven't had any complaints.

A tad slow sometimes but haven't had any major problems with it
