I've set up a Yahoo email account and a Gmail account through the Mail app on my iPhone, but I don't consistently get push notifications for my emails for either account! If I go under Advanced in the mail settings, both accounts are set to push (I know Gmail doesn't have native push, so I set up the Gmail account thru Exchange, so it should have push). What else can I check/change to get email notifications instantly to my phone? Its very frustrating having to check the mail app throughout the day to update my emails...

Did you set it to push manually?

Setting/mail,contacts,calendars/fetch new data

You can select different options from here!

Those options are for fetch, rather than push.... I have it set to fetch every 15 minutes, even though both accounts are set to push by default.
