Email shows 9/21, however, bumped to a later date

iPhone order email shows 9/21 delivery date, however, on apple.com the date is Oct 5th.

Placed order within the first 5 minutes.

Apple customer service told me they would be mad, but we can't do anything.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I have never ordered through the carries, so was not sure if it still showed on apple's website or not.

what? It doesn't matter if you order from att/verzion/apple....if you buy on contract that model it will be $299....

i have EXACTLY the same situation as you...called apple about it a couple times...they cant do anything and said it will likely NOT come on the 21st

i cancelled my order last night and will be waiting in line

Post the time your received the original confirmation email. I ordered through Apple and got the same model as you(black 32Gig) but mine is on schedule for delivery for the 21st and already have my tracking information. My order was placed at 2:18AM Central time(12:18AM Pacific time).

Happened to me. Got the confirmation email at 2:52 CST saying it delivers by 9/21..later that morning via apple.com it said 10/5.

BUT, after checking again tonight via apple.com..its back to delivers 9/21. It's still shows as processing though..same will probably happen to you

This same exact thing happened to me. Ordered a black 64gb AT&T model, 3:53amEST processing email with the 9/21 date, got switched the same day to Oct 5, still processing but I just got switched to "Delivers 9/21" tonight.

Mine is even stranger. The link in the email confirmation shows 9/21. If I use the link in the Verizon thread it shows 10/5.
