I have the 6 Plus running iOS 8.3 and my email worked fine until 2 days ago, now the only way it will check for new email is if I open the app. Any ideas on this?
 
I have the same issue with my 6 plus and iPad Air 2. I tried restoring, resetting and adding accounts again and none of them worked.

What email client are you using ?

Is it PoP3 or IMAP ?

Are you using the stock email app or a 3rd party one.

Have you tried a 3rd party one if the stock option is causing the issue.
 
Just using the apple email app and it connects to my Yahoo account. Nothing 3rd party. Its just odd how it worked fine up till a couple of days ago with me changing nothing.
 
In the past when I've used yahoo it's been a bit glitchy by asking for my password occasionally but it did always sync.

I now use another which is IMAP and much better.
