email stuck in Limbo

I sent a large email from my 4S, pictures and text via gmail when I had a limited wifi connection and no other service beyond the wifi. It went out of my Draft box and it's stuck loading in sent mail. This was over a month ago and it will not send (copied myself). I also can't make any progress from my PC. It took a lot of energy to compose, it was a keeper and I would like to get it somehow. Any thoughts on how to retrieve or access this composition?

Have you tried to delete then add back your gmail account on your phone?

I think I understand what your suggesting. Pick it out of the trash and restore it from there. Are you sure this wont corrupt anything? And that it will be in the trash?

I didn't delete it, I forwarded it and nothing beneficial happened. I checked my options as (Show original... a gmail option) and it had very little encrypted content. In comparison to a single picture previously sent from my iphone... about 5% or less content.
