Email "Updates" When a Telephone Call Connects?

I'm on a Jailbroken 3GS running 3.0.0 FW. I have turned off push notifications but it still happens. The odd (besides the problem itself which isnt normal) thing is it doesn't happen everytime, it just seems random. I don't recall it happening on incoming calls, but on outgoing calls it will give me the email alert beep right after the call connects. Any ideas?
