i use the mac mail app on my MBP 2010 model.. have it set up as imap as i do on my phone but its not working.. i read mail on my phone and it shows as UNREAD on my MBP..

IMAP can be quite slow to sync flags. Make sure you sync the accounts by hitting "check for new emails" first on your phone, then on your computer. Is it still not working?

What mail service do you use. I haven't had any issues with iCloud except for an occasional lag when I have a slow internet connection.
