My printer is broken so I needed to send a document to my wife's work so she could print it for me and she doesn't have Appleworks at her job. So I emailed it as a PDF. I'm 99% sure she can view PDF's. Does anybody have a better method for accomplishing this task?

That should work. Another choice is to use Save As and save the file in another format, such as RTF or MS Word, and e-mail her that. She can probably open it and print that too. The downside is that the format might end up with glitches. The upside of the downside is that the document will be editable so she could fix minor formatting issues.
