Emailing Video Through WIFI???

I wanted to know if anyone knows why while emailing a video through wifi on the iphone 4 it automatically gets compressed before its sent. I understand its to make the file smaller but considering i'm emailing it to myself through wifi i don't see why it should do this considering i'm not using 3g. Only way to get the actual higher quality video file i have to hook my phone up to my laptop and upload it there, which can be a hassle sometimes. If anyone knows a work around for this i'd appreciate it.

Nope, no other way. You have to hook it up.
