Hi all,

First up, much as I want to, I can't use Mail because of an ongoing smpt problem that I can't fix. So, I switched to Thunderbird. I use SpamSieve to sift away the junk. It has generally been reliable but the last few days I found a lot of 'good' emails that had been sent straight to the junk folder. One of them was from a work colleague (ie not spam) and was dated 12/01/2004....and it was sent three days ago  I've noticed really old dates like that on a lot of spam email but never on a 'good' email before - any ideas what's causing this?

Thanks.

It's an smtp problem. What is the problem and what is the smtp server?

 Typo, apologies. I just wasn't able to send or receive emails with Mail (no problems with Thunderbird), I fiddled about with the settings according to the advice on the Apple discussions site (where, it seemed, half the planet had the same problem) but could never fix it. I can't remember the details now but everything pointed at an smtp problem.
