Hello All

I just picked up a Newton eMate 300 on eBay - should be coming in within the week and am wondering what everyone uses theirs for?

I'm pretty excited to start playing around with my first Newton :)

Any good apps and good places to start for a first time Newton owner?

Thanks!

I have one... had two. You really just need to go to the below site and subscribe to the mailing list. Incredibly helpful people. Also browse the archives.

Do make sure you do the following though:

It's super easy to do... and kinda fun. I wrote my name on the inside of both of mine when I did the fix and a way to contact me... just for fun... :) So there's one out in the wild with a hidden surprise!

I was lucky enough to buy one on ebay brand new in the box. New used. Looks pretty amazing if you ask me.

I'm about to buy a MessagePad 2000 or 2100 (on Ebay, or an other site like this), are there some things I have to be careful with when I choose or search one?

Help-Connectivity problems with two Emate 300's

I have two Emates, two power cables, one connevity cd for apple but I know I can download nie2,one mac and one windows serial, two manuals.I do not have a connevity cd for windows .I am having problems getting a company to make two good batteries but that is minor.
I have a G3,two G4's and one G5. None of them seem to have hole that matches the end of the mac serial. Is there a converter? Can I use airport or firewire?Where can I get a download of nie to use with my older laptop?
I am frustrated as I have contacted other newton groups and gotten no reply. No one must have them anymore.
My goal is to get them wireless and do some writing.

Get the 2100 if you plan on messing around on the internet. The extra RAM will be worth it.
