So with this embedded sim, presumably there is still a regular sim slot if I want to use my existing sim card?

I'd like to know more about this too.

Honestly worried that "Embedded SIM" means there is NO EXTERNAL SLOT for us to put our own SIM into it. This would be unacceptable for those of us who travel to other countries and want to change SIMs frequently.

We might not get any useful info until they go on sale, unless the demo units after the Apple Event were LTE enabled and someone thought to look for the SIM slot...

I remember last year there was chatter that Apple was moving to embedded SIM cards. Maybe this is it?

If you scroll down to the SIM card section on the following link you will see that it includes both an embedded SIM as well as a standard nano SIM slot.

Thats interesting!

I doubt it'll behave like a dual SIM phone, but it would be interesting to see if you can leave a Nano SIM in the slot and select either one as the active Cellular data source (Embedded Apple SIM OR Nano SIM) on the fly.
