Embedded youtube videos not playing in Safari or any browser

Embedded youtube videos are not working in any browser on my ipad. The videos do not respond to touch, but the youtube app itself is working fine.

The problem started after updating to IOS 8.0.2. Strangely enough, my iphone 6 is not affected by this.

Anyone has a fix for this?

Press just under the play button in the middle of the screen.

Ni fix unfrotunately. I have been having this issue on my 6 plus. The play button is usually unresponsive.
