Here's the problem: A US Federal District Judge has instructed us to file a disclosure that lists exhibits that we will use in trial. He wants them attached to our formal Exhibit list in numerical order with a hyperlink that he can click on and the exhibit document is to appear. The main document is a Word created one that is transformed into a pdf for electronic filing in the US Courts system called PACER. I want to know if is possible to :
a) Make the Word document have a clickable link to each exhibit (these are pdf's in order to be filed next);
b) After making the set of documents can they be made into one pdf that retains the ability to click and see them: and
c) How can I set up a path for the main document and its exhibits when the whole thing becomes a pdf when electronically filed?
I am using MacBook Pro with High Sierra and Word for MAC.
Thanks
Tom

Hopefully someone with experience with PACER will chime in...but...if you don't know how it converts Word to PDF you should be concerned with it working. Can't you file a PDF containing both the list of exhibits and the exhibits themselves?

I'm not sure how or if it's possible to successfully convert a Word document with internal hyperlinks to PDF. This may take a real PDF authoring application.
