Embedding video in a post...

I know you can usually grab the embed code...to post a video, to be played without having to leave the forum board.

I've noticed all the videos anyone links to, are simply that...links.

Is there not a way to embed a video in a post?
I've done a few different searches, and can't seem to find anything.

We frown upon that type of thing here.





But seriously, I'd guess it's not done because it clutters the place up, the same reasons you don't see images allowed in signatures.
