Old cell phones (if they have a signal and not too old (CDMA in some areas) can still call 911 even if you are not paying for their service. Can the Apple Series 3 LTE watch do so if you are not paying for the cell service?
The apple page covering their Emergency SOS only says:
"To use SOS, your iPhone needs to be nearby. If your iPhone isn't nearby, your Apple Watch needs to be connected to a known Wi-Fi network and you must set up Wi-Fi Calling. On Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), you can also use a cellular connection." [emphasis added] from: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206983
I activated my LTE watch since the first 3 months were free. But I am wondering if I cancel that after 3 months if my Apple Watch would still be able to use apple's Emergency SOS or be able to dial 911, like a cell phone would?,
