k ive just spilled water over my mbp, the water mainly hit the keys, left speaker and mouse pad, i was pretty sharpish in whipping off my tsirt and moping it whilst i ran and got tissue, seemed to have dried most off,,and got most from under the keys,, is there anything i should do now to check if its ok, ps im in a hotel nd have no screwdrivers etc.

hopefully you will have already turned off your compu and be unable to read this but…
power down, remove battery

that's about all you can do without any tools

then, the waiting begins

Here goes another one...

To the OP: If you haven't noticed, I think there have been at least four other "split water oh on what to do" threads here yesterday. I thought all those threads must make people cautious about their own mbp but no. You had to spill water.

It's easy guys. Don't bring water near your mbp.

Well accidents happen I guess. Like stealthninja said just power down remove the battery. How did the water spill anyway?

Another one? umm turn it off, let it dry for 3 days, even more.
MBPs must be one massive liquid magnet... I don't take any liquids near my macs
