Emi sticky tab on Hdd- Mid 2007 iMac question.

Hi all,

first post here.

Hdd recently failed in a Mid 2007 iMac. I inherited it without the Hdd in it and have bought a new 1tb Seagate drive for it. About to install it but am missing the little EMI tab that sticks to the original HDD that I have seen in tutorials. Is this little tab necessary or will it be fine without it?
