hullo,
My imac is just over a month old, and until yesterday I had around 600 g free on my 1tb drive. Half an hour ago imagine my surprise when I noticed I barely had 200g free! I downloaded a handy app which showed graphically where all my storage had gone, and discovered that I had 400g of .emix files, in a folder in HD/users/my name/library/mail/v2/mailboxes. The folder was named after the email service which I hardly use anymore and which came with my ISP. I deleted the folder and all now seems okay, but what on earth happened? All the files were exactly the same size and were named with sequential numbers.
