Emoji in Keynote

It seems that I cannot use Emoji in Keynote (Lion 10.7.1 & Keynote'09). They work fine in TextEdit for example.

I did a little googling about that, but couldn't find anything. I am the only hit by this bug? Did I do something wrong?

Emoji in Keynote

It seems that iWork isn't yet compatible with Emoji. I needed six faces in a presentation so I opened them in TextEdit, screenshot them, then inserted the PNG into the presentation. It's a workaround, but until iWork is fixed that's all we can do.
