emoji keyboard not working with ipados 26 and magic keyboard

With magic keyboard, emoji keyboard not working. Predictive emojis not working. Is this a known bug? Thanks

Working normally as always on my M4 iPad Pro.

I’m having the same issue with my 12.9” M1 iPad Pro. The emoji keyboard is there when my iPad isn’t connected to the Magic Keyboard, but it isn’t available with the MKB connected. It was fine before the iPadOS 26 update. I’ve tried rebooting. Very frustrating!

So what happens when you press the globe key on your Magic Keyboard? That’s what is supposed to bring up the emojis.

Thank you -- that did it! I've never had to use the globe key before -- there used to be an emoji icon at the bottom left of the Messages window.
