First: Thanks for all the great info. First post, lurked for ages since I can usually find solutions without making people answer mine anew.
That said, I seem to find no record of the issue I'm having. I have a jailbroken 3GS on T-Mobile. I'd like to have the emoji set in my messaging screen, but can't seem to get it. The globe is there when I'm in an email, searching contacts, entering a new appointment, notes, and searching or adding a url in Cydia/Icy.
It's missing from SMS though. I've made sure it's set to on, I've verified in settings, supreme preferences, and iKeyEx, all show it's enabled. When I add another language (tried several) the globe shows up in SMS, it's only emoji that's missing. (It's also not available in Safari, searching the iPhone, etc, but I think that's probably how it should be, unless that's all tied to one keyboard profile, so to speak, and the places it works is another profile.) It IS there for youtube searches, not for google searches, if that gives any help. (I don't need it there, but it is.)
So does anyone have ideas why I'm not able to access the emoji keyboard exclusively in messages?
Images are composing a SMS, then composing an email, one with the globe showing, the other clearly the icon set, demonstrating it is there.
