Employee Referral for Apple Store

Hi

I have been referred for a job by a friend and have recently been contacted by Apple recruiters. Firstly they said they liked my CV and would be in touch, and then they sent me an email with links to book a group seminar.

Neither of these emails mentioned the fact that I had been referred, and although I put it on my online application profile that I had found the job by 'Employee Referral', I'm curious as to whether I will have any sort of advantage in the application process because I'm a referral?

Not really, but your friend will make a cool $250 if you're hired and stay on for a few months. Perhaps you can make him/her share with you.
