Hi all,

I have over 1,500 files in my Trash and every time I try to empty it, Snow Leopard crashes.

Any suggestions? i.e. different program to empty trash or something?

Thanks

Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and copy and paste the following command to the command prompt:

sudo rm -rf /.Trash ~/.Trashes

Then press return to run it.

You can try running a third part app, too. I use Trash It! Works well for me. I've deleted huge time machine files with no issues. However, I'd go the terminal route, first.
