Hi all

I have 2 documents that I can't delete from my trash can, they are both 'locked' & I can't seem to un-tick the box on the "Get info" bit to delete them

Anyone else have any ideas??

Thanks

Thanks for that, 2 quick questions

The option key is the one with the apple symbol on??

What is the finder menu!

It's a mystery I can turn the machine one!!

The option key is the same as the Alt key. On a typical Mac keyboard it's to the left of the spacebar, between the key with the Apple symbol and the Ctrl key.

Finder is the main Apple 'window'. It's the blue smiley-faced icon on your dock, but if you click on any empty space on your desktop, the system will select Finder for you. Then use the menubar at the top, click on Finder, and then click on 'Empty trash' while holding the option/alt key.

If scienide09s way doesn't work (it should but you never know) you can download MainMenu for free. Installation is really simple, just drag it to the program folder.

You can find the program here:

Once installed you can use this option, worked every time for me:
