Emptying trash

When I empty the trash on my Mac Pro 10.6.3 the counter starts counting down from 9000+ files even though there are only 94 items in the trash and no folders. Should I be concerned?

Only if those were not in an optical media Dr!

Are you missing any file yet?

There are hidden files inside applications, packages etc. Right click on these files and select 'Show Package Contents' to see.
