Ironically, I love Apple and iTunes no complaints but after learning about emusic.com and allthemp3.com I am glad that those two alternatives exist. Actually they even have higher quality of encoding than the itunes website has... for an audiophile that's a big deal.

Plus both are way cheaper than itunes ever was. No complaints. I really like emusic and allthemp3's lack of DRM which is good for switching from pc/apple to mp3 player...
 
Do you mean, apart from iTunes has the newest releases, and emusic has back catalog and indie releases?

Or do you mean itunes is legal and has license agreements with the artists and labels, while (some of the most popular) offshore download sites steal the music and don't pay the artists and publishers a cent?
