I'm a new Mac user and a new iMovie user.

I just used iMovie 7.1.4 for the first time and uploaded some video from a little Aiptek GVS HD 1080P video camera. The video looks great and the sound is good (even though I used the cameras internal mic), but the problem is that I can't see the audio as a waveform (audio clip). Can I enable that with iMovie 7.1.4? I googled this issue and found nothing that could help me and I think I recall reading where they dropped that function from this version of iMovie.

I have only done minimal video editing so far using Premiere Pro and Camtasia Studio 6 and both of those programs show the audio as actual wave forms. Am I right in thinking that you need a video editing program that shows the audio clips as waves?

Thanks
Steve
