Enable Kodi to receive network files

Im trying to get Kodi, which is installed on my MBA to reach shared files from my windows PC.

I've tried using the SMB connection alternative but I just can't seem to get it to work, nor can I get the manual option to work (as I have no clue what I should put in the fields server name and shared folder.

Is there anyone who can help me, I've tried to enable homegroup on the windows pc, as well as tried to make the folder shared with everyone, my own user and the homegroup, my mac can find the folders via the finder, althought this seems to work with uneven results.

But inside Kodi I just can't seem to get it to work!
