I don't use touch ID to unlock my phone. It had as many errors as successes for the first couple months so I gave up. I was thrilled to find that BioLockdown worked without a passcode and almost always read my fingerprint correctly. So there has to be a way to enable touch ID for iTunes without using a passcode. Does anyone know of a tweak to allow this?

Maybe you can use iTouchSecure with the App Store? It will save the password locally and allow you to enter it with your fingerprint. It's a pretty neat tweak.

touch ID should work just fine. Did you program your fingers at an angle? The same way you would touch the sensor to unlock it? If you use your thumbs, you can program each one twice. Once at 90 degrees, and again at 30 or 45 degrees, depending upon how you hold it and where you thumbs line up.

I reprogrammed mine (after a hard reset) using the above instructions and it works just fine. I even use VirtualHome to open my phone. Very fast and reliable.

I've scanned my fingers several times, even doing my thumb for all 5 fingers and it will work for about a day and then start failing miserably. Oddly, it works perfectly for BioLockdown. At first, I thought it was because it was failing, but then I tried all my other fingers and it BioLockdown wouldn't let me access the app. No idea why it doesn't work for unlock very often, but it doesn't. Besides, I generally view the lock screen as a nuisance anyway.

Would be nice to use the touch id for iTunes, but I'll survive just fine with no passcode. BioLockdown allows me to lock the apps and/or settings I would need to be prevented from opening.

Unfortunately, with BioLockdown's update this morning, I can no longer use it without touch ID enabled. Hoping that gets fixed again. Wondering if there is a way to install an older version of that tweak? Anyone know how? Thanks.
