hello,
Those of you who were on here last week, I was asking about a Mac Pro someone is borrowing me for an extended period of time.

I now have it and I am trying to install bluetooth into it so I can use my Magic Mouse and Keyboard. This is a Mac Pro 1,1 with no internal bluetooth module installed, so I am trying to install an old bluetooth USB dongle I have lying around. This is a Belkin. As far as I understand, Belkin USB bluetooth drivers are installed right into OSX, the problem I am having is that bluetooth is not installed onto the Mac Pro so I cant access the bluetooth preference pane.

In spotlight, there is bluetooth file exchange and bluetooth app but when I click either of these, it says that there is no bluetooth device attached so it won't open the app.

I have tried a PRAM reset and made sure the OS is fully up to date.

What is interesting though is that an iMac with bluetooth installed is more than happy to use the dongle and sees it straight away in the USB option in System Information whereas the Mac Pro doesn't see it as a bluetooth device.

Can anyone help me? I really don't want to go back to the Might Mouse and wired keyboard if I can help it.
