Long story short: I'm a Japanese minor who's currently going through classes, and I use the Chinese handwriting recognition on the iPod Touch in order to help with the occasional Japanese kanji which I don't recognize.

I'm wondering if anyone's found a way to enable the handwriting features in SL without explicitly adding a Chinese keyboard to the list of keyboards. The issue right now is I have a useless keyboard option selected, and occasionally I'll forget to keystroke-cycle through that option when switching from Japanese to English and occasionally start seeing kanji pop up when I'm expecting English.

(sidenote: yes, I know that Japanese kanji and Chinese kanji are somewhat different in places; I use this as my first quick attempt to try to figure out a kanji I don't know/remember before I go to normal routes)
