i managed to get both tethering and MMS working in GM 3.0, and you dont need to downgrade iTunes as a lot of other guides say you do.
In terminal, type
Now you can load a custom configuration file to iTunes, by Alt-Clicking Check for Update and selecting the .ipcc file. You can find this file at http://drop.io/o2ukipcc.
Restart the phone and you have enabled tethering.
Then you can input the MMS settings in Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network> and in the MMS section put the following..
APN: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Password: password
MMSC: mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Proxy: 193.113.200.195:8080
MMS Max Message Size: [leave blank]
MMS UA Prof URL: [leave blank]
I had MMS working before, so you might need to text "MMS" to 1010 to get MMS activated on your phone.
I got this to work first time, but I'm not sure if O2 knows to charge you for this or not, so be careful and don't use tethering unless you have to, incase you want to pay for it.
In terminal, type
Code:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE
