It's all you need. Some of the other enclosures will claim faster speeds at up to 5x the cost, but you are always hard pushed to get anywhere near the speeds they claim.

I'm looking at the OWC 1M2 since it will suffice for now (can deal with TB5 later)
So... next question - is it better to get it with the stock Aura SSD drive or get the bare enclosure and match it with a Samsung 990 Pro (with or without heat sink) ??

Just picked up one of the Sabrent enclosures and put a 500GB Crucial SSD in it, works great only thing is, it shows as 2TB in my mini. Pretty sure I haven’t scooped a bargain anyone got any ideas how I can check, I’ve reformatted and ran repair but still shows 2TB?
My TB501 pro arrived today. I had a 4TB WDSN850X in a Hyper TB4 enclosure that benchmarked at 3477 MB/s write and 3418 MB/s read speed on my new M4 Mac Studio. I moved the SSD to the new enclosure and it is giving me 5816 MB/s write and 5829 MB/s read speeds. Pretty happy with the increase in speed. It also seems to run cooler than the Hyper did. Very happy with it so far in the couple of hours I have been using it.
