Encore Scratch Disc - Eating Hard Drive!

Hey guys,

I've been working on a number of DVDs over the past week and last night found Encore telling me the scratch disc was full. Checked the harddrive to find I had less than 1GB available. Cleared out things I didn't need, now I'm down to the bare bones, no more than 10GB of files left, however, my drive space is still only at 15GB. I've cleared the Media files cache through Encore and restarted the laptop (including resetting the PRAM, in vain hope of it doing something) but nothing happened.

I can't work out where the space has been taken; I can't locate a scratch disc for Encore and it's baffling me.

Can anyone please help?

Take a look at DiskInventory X (will not work in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion), OmniDiskSweeper, JDisk Report or GrandPerspective to see where your HDD space went to.

Tried OmniDisc Sweeper. Found the problem - seems that within my user files, I can't openly access my Library folder. OmniDisc has been able to and wow - just found 80GB of files in the Media Cache.

This'll be an application to keep hold of... Thanks for your help!
