Encore.ZIF in B&W

Hi all,

I have seen earlier posts on this upgrade, but none unfortunately helps.

Encore ZIF 1000MHz bought on eBay without firmware . Downloaded firmware from Sonnet:

Sonnet Install CD 3.2.dmg
=
Sonnet Firmware Updater
Sonnet Firmware Remover
SonnetCache 1.4.1.pkg
Sonnet Firmware Updater 3.2.pkg

Installed 9.2 on a HD on my 450MHZ B&W server; booted from Classic into programmers mode and used Updater. Updating stopped with an error message - never got to progress bar stage. Computer was U/S after that wouldn't boot up in classic or OSX so cannot remove any patch. Have I wasted my money?

if the firmware update process was interrupted, it's probably a dead machine... but since you said it didn't even reach the progress bar before returning the error, maybe there's still hope. do a CUDA reset. you may need to hold down the CUDA reset button for 10 seconds. good luck.
