Last night I encountered what I believe to be is an iOS 4.2 induced problem. Safari hung up while trying to key in a URL. The bottom of the screen remained grayed-out despite hitting "GO" on the keyboard. There was nothing within Safari that would clear the problem. I tried going to Bookmarks, tried viewing a cached page, returning to the iPad home page, etc. and nothing would free it up. I finally had to reset the iPad and then everything was fine. I am confident this issue is a result of iOS 4.2 because my iPad has seen 4-5 hours of Safari use every single day for the past 6 months and has never hicuped once. I know that seems hard to believe but this iPad is used by my parents and they basically run it dead from a full charge every day. So it obviously sees a LOT of action. :)
