This is something I miss on my Mac compared to Windows based machines. On a windows based machine, if I am typing and am in the middle of a line I can simply hit the END key and be at the "end" of the line I am on. On my Mac, I need to hit the Control key and then the right arrow key to do the same thing I used to do with one key.

Is there any way do get the Mac to do this?

The key combo is: Command + Right Arrow Key

If you want to go the the beginning of a line: Command + Left Arrow Key.

You can also use the help menu in finder to search for Keyboard Short Cuts. A list of hundreds of Shortcuts will appear.

Thanks, I meant to say control + right arrow.

What I am after is possibly re-programming the End key to perform this control + right arrow in one step. Is that possible?

I will look up remapping keyboard when I get in front of my Mc later today. I am not sure how to remap the keyboard.

I couldn't find anything on remapping the keyboard in the help on finder. How do you do it?

I am not sure if it would work, but go to System Preferences>then hit "Keyboard & Mouse"> and then hit the tab "Keyboard Shortcuts" and see if there is any way for you to change it in there.

That looked like a good shot but it can't be done in there from what I could see......

Any other ideas??
