Today on my iOS 18.7.2 devices (that can support 26) when checking for updates no longer says "iOS 18 is up to date" with the option for "Also upgrade to iOS 26" on the bottom - it goes right to offering the iOS 26.1 update.

That means we have reached the end of the line for iOS 18 updates for those that can support 26. There will undoubtedly be an iOS 18.7.3 and later, but it will be only for XR/XS/XS Max moving forward.

I don't mess with security, so I will jump to iOS 26.2 when it is released. Still not a huge fan of liquid glass but oh well.

Just a bit of an FYI post.

Not on my 12 Pro!
I'm running 17.7.2 and right, I'm now offered 26 for update first, but if I scroll FURTHER down (not only the box containing update notes!), there is still the option to update to iOS 18 (18.7.2).

Nah. Apple just popped it to the top of the page to make it prominent. Scroll down and iOS 18 updates will show, if available.

iOS 26 is so bad that Apple extends the support for iOS 18. :)

iOS 18.7.3 (22H217) December 3, 2025 https://developer.apple.com/news/releases/

In the previous years, around mid-November and at most x.7.2 was the last update for the previous iOS.

Only on the beta profile, atm, but it's clearly coming. I've moved on to the beta to avoid any "accidental" install of 26.

What a mess, eh?

Unfortunately, not what I hoped for … iOS 18.7.3 is not available for my iPhone SE 2.
iOS 18.7.3 and iPadOS 18.7.3
“iPhone XS and later, iPad Pro 13-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 7th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later”

Installed the 18.7.3 beta on my iPhone 13, then back to the tvOS profile to get rid of the iOS 26 nag.

Anyone know of a way to get rid of the macOS 26 notifications? Is there a similar workaround like the tvOS profile?
