I've been trying to open a practice account for forex trading this morning, which is not easy to find for a Mac in the first place, and I've tried on two sites so far, both of them telling me that the Java plug-in is not found on my computer.

In my browser prefs I have Java Embedding Plug-in 0.9.7.4 which runs Java applets using the latest installed version of Java, but it seems to do me no good.

I just downloaded and installed the latest Java update from Apple this morning, and restarted my browser (Firefox), but I still cannot get past this Java plug-in issue with my two practice accounts and seem to have hit a brick wall. I'm lost at this point.

Any ideas?

Is JAVA enabled on the system?
