I have a 2009 MacPro. A few months ago I bought some new RAM and a RAID card and all hell broke loose. I experienced countless KPs.
I ultimately identified the issue and replaced the RAM. Things are better.
But still not as stable as before. I get application crashes/localized panics and about once a week I still get a nasty KP that brings down the house.
The question:
Is it possible or likely that my underlying file structure endured lasting damage that Disk Utility and Disk Warrior won't fully repair? Would I be best served doing a fresh install (which with all my apps, plugins, scripts literally would take 3 days!)
Or should I look at other things...like a UPS to help with little power brown-outs that I get in my semi-rural location?
