I checked all over the forums for this, nothing came up.

So I have a macbook pro santa rosa 2.4 GHz with 4GB RAM running 10.5.4. I am in Hong Kong while writing this forum post, so I will be brief. In my Energy Savings, there is a optimization setting. Every time I am running on battery, not plugged in to the socket, I have it on the Better Battery Life optimization. When plugged in, I have it on Better Energy Savings. Now, the thing that is bothering me is this: everytime I click on my battery on the top right hand side of my menu, the optimization settings change to the Custom optimization setting. So it goes from Bettery Battery Life -> Custom or Better Energy Savings -> Custom.

While that has been going on, I notice a decrease in battery life on my macbook pro. I am wondering is something wrong with my battery itself? Or is something wrong with my computer's wiring? Or lastly is this a bug in mac os x 10.5.X?
