Great Ashes preparation. Let's see, the Lankans were 139 for eight on day one and by the end of day two they were almost favourites to win.

By the end of day three the lankans were still batting their second innings and Monty Panesar reckons chasing 350 against Murali on a twirling pitch will be no problem. So young and yet so foolish. My guess is that England when up against this sort of pressure will crumble in a heap. All out for 170.

Yeah you'd think that of the old England teams, but this one has a backbone, it doesn't always choose to use it mind....

In a high run chase, it's usually the time that limits the game, but they have all the time in the world here, 350 isn't impossible, just improbable.

Got to lunch for no loss, 45/0. Only needs a good 100 and a couple of 50's and they'll be right there, although it only wants 2 good overs from King Spin and thats the whole sheebang too...:D
 
I was just thinking about 30 seconds ago I may have to eat my words. Could be an interesting finish.

You just never know with England. Could be some individual big scores or three quick wickets and the pressure back on.
 
Stauss out and well settled too. There's the second quick wicket. All it needs now is Peitersen to get spooked. Peitersen is more unpredictable than the whole England team put together. Peitersen did get the big score at the Oval when the rest of the team went to jelly but he was dropped on 0
 
That's Pietersen gone. And there's the three quick wickets for 16 runs. It's all over now.

Will Jones make to to tea in 15 minutes. It would be a miracle.
