I recently saved a Microsoft Word document to 2 flash drives to use on a PC. On the PC the document opened in English but as you scoll through it turns into squares sporadically (some English phrases and words still appeared here and there) and then finally becomes all boxes. When I went back to the Mac the same problem occured and it appears in Time Machine that the original document is now 2/3 Chinese characters (each character reading as a small square on the PC). I've tried the internal translation feature to convert all text to English but it didn't work. I've been getting error messages with Time Machine lately and was told by my Mac Vendor that flash memory can be "tricky." I HAVE to get this document to revert to English. Any suggestions gratefully received!
