engraving question

hello all!!
longtime lurker first time poster !! i have a question for those who have ordered their ipad from apple.com and had it engraved. how big is the engraving? is it noticeable? i got an ipod shuffle engraved once but it was to tiny it was barely readable. i would like to get my ipad 2 engraved, so i want to order it from the website, but if it is not that noticeable, i will go out today and fight the good fight. any input is greatly appreciated!! thanks all!

will you be using a case for your ipad? if so I think the engraving may be a waste, might as well fight the fight today and get your ipad weeks in advance and pay no attention to the missing engraving

I like that the new case covers the glass but not the rear so engraving should be visible to some extent...however, a lot of the reason for engraving is to assist in theft recovery IMHO.

It's according to the engraved statement. Mine does not use my name but is identifiable in a police report.
